Vacuum pads grip the face of the pane, so glass too heavy or too fragile to handle by hand can be rotated and placed without anyone touching the edges.
Fleet runs 700 lbs to 2,800 lbs, boom-mounted and lifting-eye. Available daily, weekly and monthly. We can supply an operator in New York City and the surrounding area; further out it goes as a bare rental.

What is a glass manipulator?
A machine that lifts and positions glass with vacuum suction pads instead of slings or straps. Because the pads grip the face of the pane, the glass can be rotated from flat to vertical and placed into an opening without anyone handling the edges. Also sold as a vacuum glass lifter or glass suction cup lifter.
What size glass manipulator do I need?
Match the rating to the heaviest pane, not the average one, and leave headroom for the frame if the unit is glazed. We rent from 700 lbs up to 2,800 lbs. Send the pane dimensions and the glass make-up and we will tell you which unit covers it.
Do you deliver outside New York City?
Yes, delivery reaches well beyond the five boroughs. The difference is the crew: inside NYC and the surrounding area we can send an operator with the machine, and outside that range it is a bare rental.
How are glass manipulators charged?
Daily, weekly and monthly rates are available. What it comes to depends on the unit, how long you need it and where it is going, so call and we will price the actual job.
Do I need a licensed rigger to use this?
In New York City, lifting or lowering a suspended load has to be supervised by a licensed rigger, and that holds even when the machine itself is exempt from a permit. On a bare rental that supervision is yours to arrange. If you would rather we covered it, our master riggers do that work and we pull the DOB and DOT filings as part of the job.
How much notice do you need, and what about site paperwork?
On a bare rental the constraint is availability, so tell us the dates and we will confirm what is free. Two things worth sorting early either way: many managed buildings require a certificate of insurance naming them as additional insured, so check their requirements before the day, and if you want us to run the lift rather than just supply the machine, permits can add time.
