Power

Temporary power equipment for rent. Generators, power distribution, light towers and welding machines, for sites with no supply and for standby cover where an outage stops work.

A generator on its own is rarely the whole answer; getting the power safely to the work takes distribution gear as well. Available daily, weekly and monthly. We can supply an operator in New York City and the surrounding area; further out it goes as a bare rental.

Common questions

What do I need besides the generator?

Distribution. Spider boxes, panels and temporary cable take the single feed and break it out into protected outlets across the site.

How do I size temporary power?

Total the running load, then allow for the starting surge of the largest motor, which can be several times its running draw. Send us the equipment list and we will size it.

How much notice do you need, and what about site paperwork?

On a bare rental the constraint is availability, so tell us the dates and we will confirm what is free. Two things worth sorting early either way: many managed buildings require a certificate of insurance naming them as additional insured, so check their requirements before the day, and if you want us to run the lift rather than just supply the machine, permits can add time. Our permit breakdown covers what a given lift triggers.
